"After the birth of my third child, I needed to move my 2-year-old into the room already occupied by my 4-year-old. The closet, drawers, and shelves were already filled with my older son's things so that I couldn't even open the closet door completely. Overwhelmed by the mess, I called on Melissa for help.
Melissa came by to assess our needs and took measurements. Then she helped me shop for affordable storage containers, giving me a great lesson in how to pick the right items for our space. We returned to the house and in just a couple of hours, Melissa had reorganized the entire room, giving us plenty of space for my younger son's things. She left me with a small list of assignments to complete, and within a few days, we had both boys moved into an attractive, well-organized room. We were even able to move all of the toys from the living room into the boys' room.
Melissa only spent a few hours in our home, but her work has had lasting impact. My sons love their room now. When guests come over, the kids want to show off their closet, not their toys. The room has stayed tidy now that the kids can easily clean up after themselves, and they play with more of their toys now that they can find them quickly. Because Melissa included me in each part of the process, I was able to use the lessons she taught me to reorganize other areas of the house, and I can more-easily figure out what items I need to keep and which ones can be given away. It feels great to finally have control over the mess, rather than letting the mess control me.

I was put at ease the minute Michelle came over for the initial consultation. She didn't even flinch at my mess, and told me exactly what to expect. The day they came over to organize, we had fun chatting while I sorted, and they transformed my closet. They even helped me itemize what to donate and made a list for me to keep for my tax records.
