Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect when I hire you?

First, we will discuss via phone the room/rooms that you are finding difficulties in.

Second, we will schedule an at home consultation where your organizer will assess your needs. The consultation should take about 30 minutes depending on your needs. You will most likely receive some homework after the initial meeting to work on before the working session.

Next, after a few days (no more than one week in most cases), we will have a scheduled time to work. The working sessions are expected to be side by side working so that you are learning organizational techniques, and so that we can assure that you know where things are! Hands on work days are spent purging, sorting, labeling, and making your “Simple Space”!

Finally, a follow up phone call will be placed within a week to see if there are any questions, to see how things are working out, and to see if any additional work will need to be done.

Do I need to purchase organizing supplies?
Once we've come for an assessment, we will determine what you have and what additionally is needed. We will decide which supplies or shelving should be purchased. We can do the shopping for you or leave you with a list to do the shopping yourself.

We would recommend that you purchase a label maker to maintain your areas (as your contents will most likely change).  Label makers can be purchased at most discount department stores (like Wal-mart or Target) for about $25.  You may want to get one before organizing begins in order to maintain consistency.

Will you make me throw everything away?
Ultimately what you keep or throw away will be up to you. Our goal is to help you determine which items are most important to you. Nothing will ever be discarded without your permission.

Do you charge for an at home consultation?
Yes, there is a $35 charge for an at home consultation. The fee, however, can be applied towards your organizing package or hourly rate charge. This charge is non-refundable.

What do you charge for at home organization?
Our hourly rate is $60/hour, with a minimum time of three hours. Payment is due up front. At this time, only cash and check are accepted. “Homework” may be given to minimize costs.  *Ask about our monthly specials.

How long will it take?
Without seeing your space and knowing exactly what you need done, it's impossible to make an exact estimate of how long it will take. However, estimated average time for a: 
master closet: 4 hours
pantry: 2 hours
whole kitchen: 4-6 hours
garage: 5-8 hours
playroom: 6-8 hours
child's room: 4 hours
laundry room: 1-3 hours
home office: 4-6 hours
bathroom: 3 hours

Do you charge for cancellations?
Cancellations with less than a 24-hour notice will be charged $35 fee.
